CLASSES

At Aerial Sport and Fitness we primarily teach Aerial Hoop, Pole Fitness and Aerial Silks.

 

We offer one one one lessons in our local studio, or if you prefer not to take on new sports on your own, bring a friend along with you.  As many of our customers do, and after two years still prefer to train with friends.

 

Private lessons are the best way to get the most out of your training, however, if you would prefer a large group environment we do offer group Aerial Hoop Classes at Fungi Gym, Rayleigh or group Pole Fitness lessons at Three Rivers Golf and Country Club, Cold Norton.

 

We teach a range of students, with a minimum age of 5 years old, we teach both male and female students and have no upper age limit.  We will go through the basics and build up you're strength so no age will restrict you

 

If you have any queries, please don't hesitate to contact us.  We are more than happy to help. Or if you have any other aerial sports that you are considering then please ask, we are highly trained professionals and have much experience numerous aerial sport and circus skills over the years.

Aerial Hoop, also known as Lyra, is a large steel hoop, that is suspended from the ceiling on a single point. It is secured with a carabiner and a strop.

 

We will teach you Aerial Acrobatic moves and tricks on the Hoop as well as routines and combinations.

AERIAL HOOP

Pole Fitness is a static or spinning pole, attached to a stage or floor to ceiling.

 

Pole Fitness, is perfect for an all round body work out. It tones your muscles, burns fat, helps flexibility, improves coordination and increases strength.

 

But most importantly, it builds self confidence whilst you're having a lot of fun.

 

Due to gripping the pole with bare skin, burns and bruises can occur however your body will become stronger and tougher against this and you will no longer feel it.

 

Clothing - Shorts required with a vest or t-shirt. All jewellery to be removed.  No lotions or moisturisers to be used 24 hours before the lesson.

Bring a bottle of water.

POLE FITNESS

Aerial Silks is also known as Aerial Fabric or Aerial Ribbons/Tissues.  The silks are suspended from the ceiling using a special Figure of 8 Hook and carabiner.

 

It is discipline where you perform aerial acrobatics and tricks whilst hanging from the silks.  You will learn and perform a variety of skills and techniques.  The silks are used to wrap around yourself allowing you to drop from height whilst being caught, or perform more static moves such as an Angel, which will build strength whilst you hold these moves in place.

AERIAL SILKS

At least 24hrs notice is required if you need to change or cancel a lesson. Lessons cancelled or re-arranged at less than 24hrs notice will be charged at 100% of the missed lesson.
